The Girl Scouts of Peninsula Waters, and Marquette area Girl Scouts, will host the third annual Silent Night silent auction on Saturday, December 8 from 9 a.m to 9 p.m. at the Westwood Mall in Marquette. Proceeds will support the GSPW Opportunity Fund, a source of financial assistance for girls and their families who otherwise could not afford to participate in Girl Scouts. The auction will feature assembled gift baskets by many Marquette area Girl Scouts troops, merchandise and gift certificates from area businesses, and two special items: signed and numbered prints of watercolor art by Nita Engle (“White House”) and Bill Hamilton (“Blue Heron” framed).
