Calendar – Holidays – 30th Annual Lighting Up the Holidays at NMU – Nov. 29

Marquette – The 30th annual Lighting Up the Holidays, a free kick off to the season for NMU families, students and community members, will be held on Wednesday, November 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

The event includes a tree lighting with President Fritz Erickson and Wildcat Willy, pictures with Santa by Daniele Carol Photography, cookie decorating, holiday card making, an opportunity to write and send a letter to Santa, games, crafts, face painting, free books and free gift wrapping. Cookies, hot chocolate and hot cider will be available.

There will be performances by Northern Lights A Cappella, the NMU Arts Chorale, New Attitudes Dance Studio and the NMU Cheer Team. Barnes and Noble at NMU’s Bookstore will host a sale for 25 percent off one spirit item.
