Marquette – Photographer and adventurer Denis Belliveau will be an “Explorer in Residence” Monday, September 25 through Friday, September 29 and will give a public presentation on Wednesday, September 27 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. in 1100 Jamrich Hall at Northern Michigan University.
A buffet of Central Asian desserts prepared by NMU chef Nathan Mileski will be available before the presentation from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Admission is free.
Belliveau traveled in the footsteps of Marco Polo from Italy to China and back. He wrote about his travels and produced a 2008 documentary for PBS, “In the Footsteps of Marco Polo.” For more information about Belliveau and the Explorer in Residence program, visit http://thestepsofpolo.org/.
