Calendar – Health – Diabetes Conference in Marquette – Sept. 29

Marquette – The U.P. Diabetes Outreach Network, a program partner of UPCAP, along with the Michigan American Association of Diabetes Educators, will offer a daylong diabetes conference on Friday, September 29 in Marquette.

The program offers 6 hours of continuing education for nurses, dietitians and pharmacists. Topics include psychological issues in diabetes by internationally recognized Marti Funnell, newest diabetes medication featuring Dr. Helen Berlie from Wayne State University and supporting the family in diabetes care by nationally recognized Montana Diabetes Educator, Marci Butcher. Local experts Dr. Mike Grossman, Dr. Kevin Piggott and Paula Ackerman will also be featured.
