Liberty Youth Deer Hunt September 16-17

This weekend, Sept. 16-17, the Liberty Hunt for youth age 16 or younger and for hunters with qualifying disabilities starts off the 2017 deer season!

The Liberty Hunt will take place on public and private lands statewide.

Successful hunters are encouraged to bring their deer into a DNR check station so biological data can be gathered. Hunters who bring their deer in will walk away with the 2017 Successful Hunter patch. The 2017 patch design will be revealed during a Facebook Live Video Event this Friday.

Visit www.mi.gov/deer to find a check station near you. Good luck this season!
