An Apple Grafting Workshop will be offered by the Alger County MSU Extension on Saturday, March 15 from 10 a.m. to noon in Trenary, and is open to all interested gardeners. Learn the basics of bench and bud grafting through instrumentation and practice. a variety of swarfing and standard apple rootstocks and 18 apple variety selections will be available for participants to use. Bring your own grafting knife. All other supplies will be provided. Pre-registration is required and includes a $7 charge for plant materials for every tree grafted.
