Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer an informational tour of Lambros and LaBonte Parks, along with the accessible kayak launch, on Wednesday, July 12 from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning at Lambros Park on N. Lakeshore Boulevard in Marquette.
Jon Swenson, assistant director of the Marquette Parks and Recreation Department, will lead the program where participants will learn about Marquette’s newest park by the Dead River. They will venture across the street, where Allen Beauchamp will demonstrate the kayak launch, accessing his kayak from his wheelchair. The final stop will be LaBonte Park, a pocket park with a waterfall.
