Marquette – National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette will host a round-table discussion “Being an Advocate for Mental Health Care” on Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m. in the Baraga Place Conference Room, 129 W. Baraga Avenue, Marquette.
This is an opportunity to learn about public policy that affects the lives of those living with mental illness, and offer strategies for advocating on current legislation. Lucy Wilcox, Clinical Practices Coordinator/NorthCare Network, and Kyle Rambo, Executive Director/Catholic Social Services of the UP, will lead this discussion.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness-Alger/Marquette offers confidential educational meetings for individuals living with mental illness, and friends or families living with an individual with mental illness. Anyone interested in advocating for better mental health care is invited to join this meeting.
