Marquette, MI – April 26, 2017 – The MDEQ Remediation and Redevelopment Division’s Upper Peninsula District is pleased to announce the upcoming Environmental Risk Management Strategies Conference. This one day conference on April 27, 2017 at the Ramada Inn in Marquette, will focus on state programs that address environmental cleanups, including recent and pending statutory amendments, strategies for management of different types of contaminants, and contaminated property redevelopment.
Presentations include informational sessions regarding new land and resource use restriction options for site closure, new strategies for addressing contaminant vapors, and requirements for managing non-aqueous phase liquids. Emergency management strategies and brownfield redevelopment tools will also be featured in a project scenario format.
