Calendar – Community – Earth Day “March for Science” – Apr. 22

Marquette – The NMU American Indian Science and Engineering Society, along with Gamma Theta Upsilon and the Geographical Honor Society, will hold an Earth Day March for Science on Saturday, April 22 in Marquette.

The march will begin at 10 a.m. from the Berry Events Center and proceed down 3rd Street, ending with a rally in front of the Post Office on the corner of 3rd and Washington Streets. The event will be a celebration of science, and a call to recognize the important role that science plays in all of our lives.

This is a community, family-friendly event. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend, and to share the reasons that science is important to them. For more information, find “March for Science-Marquette” on Facebook or contact Nathan Frischkorn by email at nfrischk@nmu.edu or by phone at 906-251-0113.
