Marquette – Peter White Public Library and the Marquette Monthly will offer a Teen Writing Competition, open to all students in grades 9 to 12, with entries being accepted from Saturday, April 1 through Monday, May 1.
Teens are invited to submit entries in one of the following categories: Fiction Short Story, Poetry, Opinion Essay. Only one entry per person will be allowed. Two prizes will be awarded in each category, with 1st place winners awarded $125 and 2nd place $75.
Guidelines for word length and format, along with submission requirements, are available at PWPL Teen Services or Youth Services, or online at www.pwpl.info.
