Calendar – Entertainment – “The Cruise of Abbie” at Marquette Regional History Center – Mar. 8

Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present “The Cruise of the Abbie” on Wednesday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Center on W. Spring Street in Marquette.

In 1889 John M. Longyear set out on his boat to tour Lake Superior, do a little fishing and explore Isle Royal. He recorded it all and presented his daughter Abbie with a bound book of this incredible trip. Listen to his firsthand account of this adventure and see original photos taken on the trip.

B.G. Bradley, playing John M. Longyear, and Rosemary Michelin playing Abby, will share the often funny, memories of Longyear’s journal and the boat which he named after her.

Admission is a $5 suggested donation. For more information, call 226-3571 or visit marquettehistory.org.
