Calendar – Outdoors – U.P. 200 and Midnight Run Sled Dog Races – Feb. 17-19

Marquette/Gwinn – The U.P. 200 will begin with an opening ceremony on Friday, February 17 at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Marquette. The race begins at 7 p.m.

Walt Lindala and Frida Waara will welcome representatives, sponsors and spectators to the race. The Marquette Male Chorus will give a special performance and many businesses will be hosting warm-up parties. The Midnight Run will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. or about 30 minutes after the last team of the U.P. 200 leaves the chute.

The U.P. 200 Finish will begin around noon on Sunday, February 19 at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. For complete information on routes, check-points and finish lines, go to www.up200.org.
