Ishpeming – The 8th Annual Formal/Prom Dress Resale will be held on Saturday, February 4 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Media Center of Westwood High School in Ishpeming.
The NICE Community Schools Child and Family Resource Center is sponsoring the event. 20% of the proceeds will go to the Family Resource Center, 80% to the seller. Although this is a fund raiser for the Family Resource Center, the main purpose is to provide beautiful affordable dresses for all girls in the area. Any funds raised by this sale will be used to purchase snacks, supplies and books for our weekly playgroup which is offered free of charge and is open to all families in the Upper Peninsula.
Sellers are welcome to drop dresses off at the Aspen Ridge Child and Family Resource room from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. by Friday, February 3. Dresses may be dropped off the morning of the sale at Westwood High School between 10 and 10:30 a.m. only. The seller is required to fill out an information slip stating the price, size, the year and where the dress was worn. A brief description of the dress is also required. Dresses priced over $200 or older than 10 years will not be accepted.
Unsold dresses must be picked up no later than 3 p.m. on the day of the sale unless prior arrangements have been made. Any dresses not picked up will be donated to the Women’s and Children’s Center. All dresses will be sold “as is”, with no returns or exchanges!
