Marquette – A Your Health lecture titled “Making a Difference: The Pursuit of Health and Well-Being in Your Community” with Joan Ilardo of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, will be presented on Thursday, February 9 at 7 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall at Northern Michigan University.
There is a link between where one lives and the health of one’s community. Access to health care does not necessarily lead to a healthy population. Ilardo will address how to identify community needs and promote civic engagement as way to improve a community’s health and well-being. She is director of research initiatives and principal investigator/executive director of the Partners in Aging strategies and training.
Your Health is a collaboration of NMU, UP Health System-Marquette and MSU College of Human Medicine. The lecture is free and open to the public.
