Negaunee – The Thin Mint Snowshoe Shuffle will be held on Saturday, February 4 beginning at 2:30 p.m. at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum, 73 Forge Road in Negaunee.
If you’re a pro just get out there and go along the museum’s 1/3 mile Geology Trail; enjoy the wooded views and follow the interpretive signs that illustrate the Carp River Forge. If you are new to snowshoeing, there will be some guided tours for you to join.
Then you’ll learn about local mining history, win some prizes, eat some great snacks, and earn a patch; all while supporting your local Girl Scouts. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow a pair at the event. The public is invited.
