Marquette, Michigan  – January 9, 2017 – NMU Continuing Education and Workforce Development has received $66,500 in continuation funding for its motorcycle safety program. NMU is one of 14 state-sponsored regional training agencies providing motorcycle safety classes funded through a grant from the Michigan Department of State.

Classes are offered at seven sites throughout the western/central Upper Peninsula. All instructors are MSF-certified rider coaches and experienced, avid riders.

Stephanie Zadroga-Langlois, the new director of NMU Continuing Education and Workforce Development, oversees the grant. The funding period runs through Sept. 30, 2017.
