Marquette – “The Cost of Addiction – A Community Panel to Discuss Opioid Use” will be held on Wednesday, January 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Marquette Alternative High School, 1175 Erie Avenue in Marquette.
“The Cost of Addiction” is a free event open to anyone who wants to learn more about the opiate epidemic in our area. The event will feature an interdisciplinary community panel that will assemble to discuss what opiate addiction costs our community as a whole, the families who reside here and individuals with addictions.
Addiction costs more than dollars. Topic areas will encompass the cost of addiction from various standpoints – legal, personal, familial, medical and communal. The agenda will include introductions from the panelists, various presentations and a question and answer period open to the community.
