Marquette – The Northern Michigan University French Club will present the classic 1922 silent film,” Crainquebille,” with live grand piano accompaniment on Wednesday, October 26. at 7 p.m. in the Ontario Room of the University Center at NMU.
Robert Buchkoe will play the piano. The film is based on a novel by Anatole France. It was one of the forerunners of French realism that would dominate the Gallic cinema of the 1930s and has come to be regarded as a major works of the French cinema that symbolizes Paris.
A reception with refreshments will follow the screening. Admission is free.
