Marquette – Lovers of good music, good writing and great conversation are invited to a Book Notes Coffeehouse event with short story writers L.E. Kimball and Jack Driscoll on Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Blues influenced indie band, Northern Wylds, opens the evening with a performance of catchy acoustic pop to driving blues and jazz ballads. Singer-songwriter Natalie Ray, a Berklee College of Music alum on vocals and viola, is accompanied by gifted blues guitarist, Nicklas Johnson, who lays down the foundation of the Northern Wylds sound. Their set list balances an equal amount of originals and indie cover tunes.
The highlight of the evening follows with an author to author conversation between short story writers L. E. Kimball and Jack Driscoll. A book sale and signing opportunity hosted by Snowbound Books will wind up the evening along with another set of songs performed by Northern Wylds.
Refreshments will be served and there is no admission charge to attend. For more information, call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
