Marquette – As part of the UP4Health Challenge, Northern Michigan University will host a presentation titled “It Takes a Village: Going Tobacco-free at NMU” on Monday, August 1 at 11 a.m. at the Beaumier Alumni Welcome and U.P. Heritage Center in Gries Hall.
The university is celebrating its second anniversary as a tobacco-free campus. NMU and Marquette County Health Department speakers will address the learning experience of moving cigarettes, chewing tobacco and vapor cigarettes off campus.
The public is invited to attend this free event, which is sponsored by NMU, Marquette County’s ACHIEVE Program and the Sault Tribe Partnerships to Improve Community Health Project.
