Marquette, MI – We are hosting a spaghetti benefit at the Masonic Building this Sunday to raise funds for Elena McCombie. She is a junior at Marquette Senior High School on the waiting list for a kidney. She currently is getting dialysis treatment three times a week to keep her healthy until she is pulled for a kidney.
We recently had a young campus ministry student in our congregation step forward, she is not a direct match. However, Amanda did the paired donation program so Elena will be at a much higher place on the waiting list since Amanda is willing to donate her kidney to anyone she matches to increase Elena’s chances and get her a kidney sooner. We will be having information the paired donation program at the event.
