Marquette – Pay It Forward, a Northern Michigan University student organization, will host a Care Package for Soldiers Overseas event on Saturday, April 9 fro 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Walmart in Marquette.
Members of the organization will be handing out a list of desired items that customers may purchase in the store and donate as they leave. The students will package the boxes at the store and Mike Rutledge, NMU veterans’ representative, will deliver them to the local veterans affairs office to send to various military units overseas.
