Marquette – A “Wish List” drive for the Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter will be held during the NMU/MTU hockey game on Saturday, March 5 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Berry Events Center on the NMU Campus.
This is an opportunity to cheer on your team and to bring a “wish list” item to the game. Volunteers will be on hand to collect them and bring them to the shelter. “Wish List” items are things the shelter needs every day such as canned cat food, Kong toys, stuffed toys, cleaning supplies and Econo receipts.
Donation canisters will also be passed around, so bring some spare cash and it will go to help the shelter pets. Information on the shelter and pictures of the pets up for adoption will be available.
