Marquette – Northern Michigan’s University’s Black Student Union will present a Soul Food Taster as its final celebration for Black History Month, on Wednesday, February 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Jacobetti Complex commons.
The Soul Food Taster will consist of recipes and music that represent home to members of the Black Student Union. The menu includes fried chicken, collard greens, sweet potatoes, baked macaroni and cheese and dressing. There will also be a raffle for prizes.
Tickets are $5 for NMU students and $7 for the general public if purchased in advance. Veterans and children under 5 years old are admitted free. The Black Student Union will sell tickets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Jamrich Hall ticket booth. Prices will be $2 higher at the door.
