Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present “Saturday at the Center: Strings and Things” on Saturday, March 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the center on W. Spring Street in Marquette.
The day will begin with We will “Orchestral Conducting Demystified.” This brief presentation will be given by Janis Shier Peterson, MSO Concertmaster, retired-but-still inspired MAPS orchestra director and active guest conductor.
Learn all about the Upper Peninsula Youth Orchestra, as their Directors join in for
the day. Hear a bit of live music and enjoy displays out especially for today. Test your detective skills on an orchestra themed scavenger hunt through the exhibit gallery and try hands on activities such as making a simple instrument.
