Michigan State University Extension officials invite local farmers, market gardeners and interested persons to attend a meeting, sponsored by the agency to improve and organize the Munising Farm Market, on Monday, January 21 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the MSU Extension office in the Mather Building, 411 Elm Avenue in Munising. Chippewa County MSU Extension Director Jim Lucas will facilitate the meeting. Lucas has extensive experience organizing and managing the successful Sault Ste. Marie Farmers Market. Adam Montri from the MSU Organic Farm and Michigan Food and Farming Systems will offer his expertise. There is no cost for the meeting.
