Negaunee – The Thin Mint Snowshoe Shuffle will be held on Saturday, February 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum on Forge Road in Negaunee.
Enjoy an afternoon of snowshoeing, learning about our local mining history, and having fun with friends and family on Come when you can; the fun starts when you arrive. Win prizes, treat yourself with snacks, and support your local Girl Scouts.
The event will begin at the Michigan Iron Industry Museum in Negaunee on Forge Road. Snowshoers will go at their own pace along the museum’s 1/3 mile Geology Trail. Enjoy wooded views and follow the interpretive signs that illustrate the Carp River Forge. You can also join a guided snowshoe tour at 2:30PM and 3:30PM.
There is no set registration fee, but there is a suggested donation of $5/person, or $20 for families of four or more.
This event is open to everyone who loves to snowshoe or would like to try it for the first time. If you don’t have snowshoes, but would like to borrow some, the event will have them available for you.
