Marquette – The Building Hope in Uncertain Times series will offer a concert by the Derrell Syria Project called “Remembering Woodstock” on Tuesday, November 10 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The Woodstock Festival was held August of 1969 in upstate New York and was a celebration of peace and music that drew 400,000 people, helping to define an entire generation and add impetus to social change movements in the areas of civil rights, women’s issues and antiwar protests. Woodstock’s effects on music and American culture are still felt today.
There is no admission charge. For more information, call 226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info.
