Cooks – A “Pasture walk” will be held on Wednesday, August 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Haindl Farm at 147 N. Poupour Road in Cooks.
This is an informal event sponsored by Michigan State University Extension and the Hiawthaland Farm Bureau. Topics will include successful frost seeding of red clover into grass pasture, practical use of fertilizers, problem pasture weeds, and other issues brought up by participants. U.P. MSU Extension educators and the host farmer will be leading discussion.
Transportation between fields is on your own. Refreshments will follow the last field visit. There is no charge for this event, but registration is required.
