Marquette – Dr. Tim’s Iditarod Adventures will be offered on Thursday, July 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Dr. Tim Hunt, local veterinarian, will be speaking about his mushing experience during the Iditarod this year. He will share what it’s like to battle extreme cold, brutal winds and dangerous weather, all while continuing to race and care for a team of 16 dogs. Find out what it’s like to participate in ‘the last great race’; the preparations required, the training, and what it takes to complete a race in a little over 12 days.
Dr. Hunt will share his personal stories about the race this year and will answer questions at the end of his presentation. There is no admission fee, but Dr. Hunt is asking those attending if they will make a donation to help UPAWS.
