Marquette – Shakespeare Readers will read “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” by William Shakespeare on Wednesday, August 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Considered to be Shakespeare’s first play, “The Two Gentlemen of Verona” is a comedy, written about 1590, that deals with the themes of friendship and infidelity, the conflict between friendship and love, and the foolish behavior of people in love.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading aloud the works of William Shakespeare. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month and new readers are always welcome.
