Marquette – Lake Superior Youth Theatre will offer Technical Theatre Summer Camp Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 from noon to 5 p.m. at Lake Superior Theatre, 270 Lake Shore Boulevarde, between the Lower Harbor Marina and Coast Guard Station and the breakwater in Marquette.
Each day for ages 8 to 18 will be able to learn a variety of backstage jobs and training. Offerings included in the camp include design, costuming, stage make-up, stage painting techniques, backstage safety and training, properties design, sound design, set design, lighting design, special effects and stage management. The camp will conclude with a Tech Olympics in which students will demonstrate their abilities to the public on Friday at 5 p.m.
The cost for the camp is $75 per youth. Registration forms are online at www.lsyt.org or by calling 362-6453.
