Calendar – Outdoors – “Remembering Civil War Soldiers” Cemetery Walk – June 23

Marquette – The Marquette Regional History Center will present the “Remembering Civil War Soldiers Cemetery Walk” on Tuesday, June 23 at 6:30 p.m. at Park Cemetery.

Meet at 7th Street Park Cemetery gate. Civil War soldiers will be honored this year at the 150th anniversary of the ending of the Civil War. Tour guides will tell the stories of Albert Jackson, Edward Watson, Addison Shaw and others. Expect to see uniformed members of the Sons of Union Veterans and hear the drum patrol.

A $5 suggested donation is being asked. For more information, call 226-3571 or visit marquettehistory.org. This event is in collaboration with the Dawn of Peace Commemoration.
