The Michigan Iron Industry Museum, 73 Forge Road in Negaunee, will host a Miners Memorial Day Observance, “Barnes-Hecker: Memories of a Misfortune” on Sunday, June 1.
The event will remember workers who lost their lives in the mines with guest speakers and video. Light refreshments will be served.
Admission is free. Museum hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, call 475-7857.
