Marquette – Shakespeare Readers will meet for a reading of “King John” on Wednesday, May 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This history play, written in the mid 1590’s, dramatizes the reign of John, King of England, who ruled from 1199 to 1216. King John was the son of Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine and the father of Henry III of England.
Shakespeare Readers is a group for anyone who is intrigued with reading aloud the works of William Shakespeare. New readers are always welcome.
