Leave No Trace Outdoor Ethics Course

A “Leave No Trace” course will be held on June 7 and 8 at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

Education Specialist David Kronk will lead participants in how to reduce their impact on the environment when they hike, camp, picnic, snowshoe, run, bike, hunt, paddle, ride horses, fish, ski or climb.

The program strives to educate the outdoor enthusiasts about the nature of their recreational impacts, as well as techniques to prevent and minimize such impacts.

Participants must be at least 15 years old and provide their own food and camping gear. Participants must also attend a planning session on Wednesday, May 28 at 6 p.m. in Munising.

To register, call David Kronk at 906-387-2607, ext. 206.
