Rock – American Legion Post 559 of Rock will conduct Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Rock Cemetery.
Post Commander Bill Isetts will lead the ceremony. The Kivioja Sisters will sing the national anthem for the flag-raising.
A wreath of honor will be placed on a veteran's grave, and the Rev. Francis Trombly will read the roll of deceased Rock veterans.
Guest speaker will be Capt. Jamie Hanson of the Michigan National Guard. The Legion honor guard will salute all deceased veterans. Bugler Allan Jokela Jr. will play “Taps.”
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. at the Perkins Lions Club.
