Calendar – Fun – FINNtastic February Event: Kalevala Day Celebration – Feb. 28

Marquette – A FINNtastic February event celebrating Finnish heritage will be held on Saturday, February 28 at 1 p.m. at the University Center at Northern Michigan University.

A celebration of Kalevala Day, a family-friendly event, will feature a folk dance performance by Kivijat dancers of Hancock, a musical performance by Tanja Paasikas Stanaway, an open folk dance with music by the PasiCats and a kantele-playing workshop led by Kay Seppala.

Admission is free and open to the public.
