Marquette – DocuMonday will screen the documentary film “The Address” on Monday, February 2 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
At a Vermont school, boys, ages 11 to 17, are asked each year to memorize the Gettysburg Address. These boys all suffer from learning differences that have made their progress extremely challenging. Interweaving the history of this famous American speech with the journey of the boys, reveals the timeless resonance of Lincoln’s words, while culminating in the triumph of the human spirit.
The film was released in 2014, is rated G and runs for 90 minutes. There is no admission charge. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
