Marquette – Readers Theater will meet for a reading of “The Mad Woman of Chaillot” on Thursday, January 15 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This poetic satire by French dramatist Jean Giraudoux was written in 1943 and first performed in 1945, after his death. The story concerns an eccentric woman who lives in Paris and her struggles against the straitlaced authority figures in her life.
Readers Theater is a group of adults who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are
always welcome.
