Harvey – The 10th annual Heifer Soup and Dessert Dinner will be held on Saturday, December 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Marquette Unitarian Universalist Meeting House on M28 East, 2 1/2 miles east of the intersection of M28 and US 41South in Harvey.
A wide variety of homemade soups and desserts will be available for a donation in the amount of your choosing. All proceeds will go to Heifer International. This event is hosted by children and teens of the Marquette UU Congregation to help those less fortunate.
All money will be donated to the Heifer Project, International to be used to purchase animals, seedlings, and technical assistance to needy families who then reap the harvest. New generations of livestock and crops are passed on to other families so they may become self-sufficient.
