Marquette – CineArts Films, a series devoted to foreign and independent films, will present the third annual “Reel China,” a program celebrating Chinese culture through food and film on Friday, November 7 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The NMU Chinese Organization will introduce the film, speak with the audience and serve Chinese snacks followed by the movie “To Live.” Set against four decades of Chinese political turmoil, “To Live” follows one couple as they struggle to survive their changing circumstances within the upheaval.
The film was released 1994, runs for 133 minutes, and is in Mandarin with English subtitles. Admission to the event is free. Call 226-4309 or visit www.pwpl.info for more information.
