MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s technical and office professionals (UAW Local 1950) have ratified a three-year contract. The final tally was 75-34 in favor of the proposal.
The agreement includes across-the-board wage increases of $0.26 per hour in each of the contract’s first two years and $0.29 per hour in the final year. Covered services within the health plan remain the same. Effective Jan. 1, some of the plan changes will include increases to health care deductibles, co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximum amounts.
Of the 140 union members eligible to vote on Monday, 109 cast ballots. The contract must be approved by the NMU Board of Trustees.
