Calendar – Education – History of Slavery Classes Registration Deadline – Oct. 5

Marquette – Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys will present the History of Slavery taught by Dr. Alan Willis, faculty member of the Northern Michigan University’s History Department beginning on Monday, October 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.

The class will meet on consecutive Mondays through October 27. There is no charge but registration is required due to space constraints.
Register before the October 6 by calling the library at 226-4318 or via email to mboyle@pwpl.info.

The Let’s Talk About It: Muslim Journeys initiative is a scholar-led
reading and discussion program designed to foster opportunities for
informed community conversations to familiarize public audiences with
the people and cultures of Muslims in this country and around the
world.
