Postal workers across Marquette County will be picking up food donations at residents' mailboxes on Saturday, May 10 for the 16th Annual National Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive.
This nationwide event is an opportunity to donate non-perishable food items to local agencies by leaving their donation alongside their mailbox for letter carriers to pick up during their regular mail delivery. Glass containers and out-dated food should not be included.
All collected items will go back to the central post offices fir distribution to Great Lakes Recovery Center, Harbor House, the Janzen House, Lake Superior Village Youth and Family Center, the Salvation Army, St. Vincent De Paul, and Voices for Youth.
