Munising – Munising's Winterfest, a weekend of fun including the finish of the 20th Midnight Run Sled Dog Race, will begin on Friday, February 20 in downtown Munising.
Throughout the weekend there will be snow painting, building quincy hutts, kiddie mutt races, chili tasting and much more.
The Midnight Run Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. in Sydneys Grand Island Room. Tickets are $20 per person and available at the door and the Alger Chamber of Commerce.
Evergreen 7 will provide music at the “Snowball” dance on Saturday night at the Moose Lodge from 8 to midnight. The public is welcome and tickets are $5 per person. Tickets for the Snowball Dance are available for purchase at the Moose Lodge, Munising Community Credit Union, Peoples State Bank, and Alger Chamber of Commerce. The Snowball Dance is open to the public.
Movies will be held at Mather Auditorium and admission is $1 at the door.
