WHAT:
The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will host a public meeting to discuss a planned conversion of a portion of US-2 in the city of Manistique, going from four lanes to three. MDOT will make a brief presentation at the beginning of the meeting on the lane conversion proposal before taking comments and questions from the public.

BACKGROUND:
Pending approval by city officials, MDOT will convert a segment of US-2 from just west of Cedar Street to just west of Chippewa Avenue to a three-lane roadway. This is currently a four- lane section. The five-lane section east of Cedar Street will not be changed. The work would be done this summer.
