Marquette – Marquette Citizens for City Lakeshore Preservation will host a petition signing on June 25 from 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the
Marquette Commons on South Third Street.
Drop in any time to sign. This new petition is an Initiatory Ballot Proposal to place the issue
of keeping our city-owned lakeshore property and beaches from private development on the ballot for the November Midterm General Election.
Only city of Marquette registered voters can sign the petition. The signatures need to be completed by July 29 and will need to represent 10 percent of city registered voters. Your help is needed to get this proposal on the ballot.
