Marquette – Readers Theater welcomes the public to join in a reading of “All For Love” by John Dryden on Thursday, June 19 at 7 p.m. in the Shiras Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The evening’s script is a heroic drama written in 1677 and Dryden’s best-known and most performed play. It is a tragedy written in blank verse and is an acknowledged imitation of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra, focusing on the last hours of the lives of its hero and heroine.
Readers Theater is a group of adults who are interested in drama and are willing and able to read a scripted role. They meet on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New readers are always welcome.
